We are looking for a business analyst who’s responsible for defining what motivates data exchange to occur and how to make those exchanges simpler. He/She will proactively identify, engage and build relationships with influencers and leaders across both traditional and social media channels to develop requirements for what makes a data exchange platform valuable. The analyst will serve as the voice of the customer and a generalist in the role of data marketplaces in creating value and community network effects.
Research and identify data transactions occurring in aviation, identifying participants and the objects of exchange.
Research and apply learnings from successful transaction platforms outside of Aviation.
Connect with and build a strong network of connections in the digital aviation community to influence participation in data exchanges for supply chain collaboration and monetization.
Develop stimulus questions and tailored presentation materials for customer and partner interviews.
Translate industry data exchange and digital community building problems and objectives into business requirements and user stories that will form the basis for features product enhancements.
Support Product Manager in prioritizing features with corresponding justifications tied to the value created.
Contribute to long term product / service roadmaps for a digital platform’s user experience driven by market and technology trends.
Interact with interaction designers and researchers to ensure the product experience is tailored to encourage community engagement and participation.
Support marketing in creating materials and presentations to capture the value of the products and solutions being created and offered.

Demonstrated ability to understand industry needs, along with the ability to establish / maintain a high level of partner, collaborator and customer trust and confidence.
Excellent oral and written communication skills and experience interacting with internal business and engineering individuals, as well as customer users and stakeholders.
Ability to work independently and in a collaborative environment to achieve group objectives.
Knowledge of multi-sided platform business models and platforms.
This position requires a Bachelor’s degree in the appropriate discipline and 5 years of relevant experience or an Advanced degree in the appropriate discipline and 3 years of relevant experience.In the absence of a degree, 9 years of relevant experience is required.
Four (4) years of experience and knowledge of working with or in aviation or a digital platform business.
Knowledge of digital trends related to how data is created, exchanged and used for analytics and of the concepts of the API economy.
Experience conducting market analysis around products / services, and prepare summary reports in support of partnering and M&A discussions.
Basic understanding of cloud services and platforms.
Experience with consultative services engagements involving external customers.
Experience with user experience design for web based platforms.
Knowledge of SAFe and Atlassian tool suite.
