This Product Manager position will be part of a cross functional business team and be responsible for managing assigned solution offerings.
Write tasks, stories, and epics from a user point-of-view, including measurable acceptance / success criteria.
Keep backlog groomed so the development team always has work available and estimated.
Understand how development teams work paired with the soft skills to know how to extract industry leading performance from them.
Work within a global development organization, including offshore development center with a substantial time-zone difference.
Manage development life-cycle in the Atlassian suite of tools.
Work closely with quality assurance to perform acceptance testing of new features.
Own the demonstration of new features to product management, partner engagement, customer experience, and leadership stakeholders.
Key skills for success:
Extensive experience as a Product Owner, Scrum Master, or Technical Product Owner.
Communicate clearly when writing, speaking and/or presenting to team business and technology personnel.
Provide constant timely feedback to team members (not just retrospectives or sprint planning meetings).
Strong interpersonal skills including coaching, collaborating, and team building.
Demonstrated ability to understand the business’ needs, with the ability to establish / maintain high level of customer trust and confidence.
Excellent oral and written communications skills and experience interacting with both business and engineering individuals.
Creative approach to problem-solving, with the ability to focus on details while maintaining the “big picture” view.
Ability to work independently and in a collaborative environment.
This position requires a Bachelor’s degree in the appropriate discipline and 5 years of relevant experience or an Advanced degree in the appropriate discipline and 3 years of relevant experience.In the absence of a degree, 9 years of relevant experience is required.
Experience working in a software development environment.
Experience with launching new products.
Experience with Atlassian suite.
Knowledge of Scaled AGILE.
Familiarity with IBM, Amazon Web Services, or Azure platform.
Experience working within a development organization that includes sub organizations such as:
User Interface / User Experience
DevOps / TechOps / SupportOps
