We are currently looking for an Associate Director of Supply Chain. This role will report to the Plant Manager and is a senior leader with experience in operational, tactical and strategic facets of a global supply chain. Your role will require directing an organization's overall supply chain operations, including purchasing and inventory of raw materials, selection of vendors, and distribution of finished goods. You should be recognized as a collaborative business liaison possessing excellent client and supplier relationship management skills. You will work with contracting, sourcing, and supplier management professionals, and have experience leading cross functional teams toward the best possible outcome. You should posses skills in complex contract negotiations, process improvement, and relationship management (internal and external). You will develop strategic plans to improve productivity, quality, and efficiency of operations. With your team you will create functional strategies and specific objectives, while working with your teams on budgets/policies/procedures. The role requires proven success both as a leader who has built and enabled effective teams, and as an individual contributor who adapts easily to a rapidly changing environment.
Utilize the supply base to meet the company's procurement requirements related to quality, delivery and cost while optimizing inventory and asset management
Develop, integrate, and execute strategy and plan in support of the business and functional strategies via critical operating tasks and business objectives
Provide oversight for supply planning of all projects, conducts ongoing evaluation of operational systems and processes to maximize effectiveness, and handles an end-to-end view to help increase margins through operational excellence.
Design and implement a sourcing strategy that develops and builds long-term partnerships with critical suppliers across the globe
Responsible for execution of business plans within cost objectives as well as working with suppliers to provide forecasts and key cost optimization opportunities
Leads teams that provide accurate forecasting capabilities and can be effective in constraints for short-term, mid-term, and long-term horizons
Manages a group of supply chain professionals who perform supply planning on the full portfolio of projects with overall responsibility of consistently achieving target inventory levels as well as maintaining customer service metrics.
Optimizes the flow of goods from suppliers to manufacturing for maximized planning, and the application of lean principles.
Assists in the launch of new products on time by working cross functionally and using a design-to-value approach.
Coordinates supply chain management reporting and measures/tracks supply chain KPI’s.
Evaluates and builds manufacturing networks that are flexible, responsive, innovative, and resilient.
Negotiate and award purchase orders/contract to support new product launch and existing production requirements
Responsible for supplier selection on a commodity/category basis and work with business unit category managers, factory buyers and purchasing managers to implement these sourcing decisions
Evaluate and develop organizational resource allocation to focus resources toward maximum impact for the company driving best cost tactical actions.
Have familiarity with scheduling practices , product effects on the scheduling process and the SOP process and associated metrics.
Have a deep understanding of corporate and global business environments
Have a professional presence and ability to communicate across all levels of the organization
Ability to work on complex problems where analysis of situations and data requires an evaluation of intangible variables
Ability to exercise independent discernment in developing methods, techniques and evaluation criteria for obtaining results
Excel in a dynamic environment
Dedicated, create and strive to be the best at building and maintaining strong relationships
Proven leadership skills and organization management experience
Experience developing and mentoring staff
Ability to partner with Business Leadership, Site Leaders, Sourcing, Logistics, Sales & Marketing/Demand, Customer Service, Human Resources and Information Technology
Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Materials Management, Engineering or related field with 10 years’ experience
Master’s Degree or MBA with 7 years’ experience Preferred
