The Brea site builds and delivers helicopter rescue hoists and winch systems to aircraft operators around the world. The electrical engineering team designs new systems, proposes design changes to existing platforms and also supports the MRO and Operations team with in-service issues.

The Electrical Engineer Intern will be a part of the Helicopter Rescue Hoist and Cargo Winch team. This position is intended to be year-round, so local candidates are preferred.

Responsibilities:

  • Support new development and sustaining programs

  • Electrical design and analysis, drawing and document updates, test and production support

  • Assist in engineering projects developing new electronic products

  • Follow electronic schematic to build printed circuit board (PCB) with small electronic parts and mechanical components using various hand tool

Qualification: Basic Qualifications:

  • Demonstrate the ability to work well with an interdisciplinary team

  • Assist in engineering projects developing new electronic products

  • Excellent electrical, theoretical, analytical and problem-solving skills

  • Familiar with basic circuit design principles

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Project, etc.)

  • Attention to detail

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Hands on experience with electro-mechanical systems such as motors and controllers, automation and test equipment are preferred

Education:

  • Must have a cumulative GPA of 3.0

  • Must be Junior or Senior at an accredited university, pursuing a Bachelor's Degree in Electrical or Aerospace Engineering

  • Control Systems and Filter Design courses required

  • Coursework in Labview, VHDL, and Verilog desired​
