Responsibilities:

  • Perform Preliminary Material Review (PMR) of all receiving inspection rejections. The goal is to support and expedite the disposition process and decrease the internal and supplier quality recovery time to prevent recurrences. Review and understand engineering change notices to support product disposition decisions, submit engineering change request base on incoming material dispositions or supplier feedback.

  • First Article Inspection (FAI) Validation: Review, verify, and physical validation of measurements and features including review of metallurgical requirements as well as special process requirements. First article activities will support, work transfers (supplier to supplier), delta FAI, new product submittals as well as internal FAI for final inspection of completed hoist and winch.

  • Zero Hour Return part investigation / verification of customer complaints. Communicate findings with quality engineers and support data requests.

  • GRIEF: Resolve incoming material missing document issues. Engage with purchasing and planning to recover missing or incomplete orders.

  • Stock Purge and line rejection verification and feedback to stakeholders.

  • Support engineering development product measurement and verification. This activity will support quality clinic inputs and project

Education/Certifications:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent, plus additional specialized courses or short-term training (one year or less) with a minimum of 5 years experience or

  • Associates Degree, Technical/Business School Certificate or Diploma, Skilled Trades Apprenticeship, or other post high school training (two years duration) and 3 years experience

Experience/Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 3 years experience with aerospace parts and processes.

  • Must be able to clearly interpret aerospace specifications and metallurgical requirements as well as special process requirements.

  • Knowledge of First Article Inspection and Geometric Dimension & Toleranceing (GD&T) mandatory.

  • Familiarity with SAP and Quality Notifications (QN) is a plus.
