Responsibilities:

  • Component, subsystem and system design and development for Helicopter Rescue Hoist and Cargo Aircraft Winch product lines. May include structure, gearbox, cable management and electromechanical actuator development.

  • Position will include coordination with test, analysis and electrical disciplines.

  • Position also includes customer interface and project planning, supply chain and operations support, including troubleshooting of fielded products.

  • Some Lead Engineer activities such as managing schedules, generating proposals, reviewing and approving drawings/documents are anticipated.

Qualification:

  • Hands on experience with electro-mechanical systems such as motors and controllers or actuators

  • Experience in design and analysis for Military or Commercial Line Replaceable Units (LRU's) preferred

  • Modeling and drawing generation experience

  • Familiarity with aircraft Qualification and Regulatory requirements preferred

  • Excellent technical writing and PC skills.

  • Ability to work with all levels of engineering, and management personnel and capable of positively interacting in a team environment

  • Familiarity with DO-160 or MIL-STD-810 is desirable

  • Familiarity with helicopter subsystems highly desirable

Education:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering and 5 years of experience

  • Master's Degree and 3 years of experience

  • A&P license is desirable
