This position is for an Operations Manager in the Rosemount Operations group leading supervisors and teams of people. This area consists of assembly, test, fabrication, and machining operations. The role oversees and coordinates production team activities, giving importance to individuals members' and overall team achievement in achieving policy deployment objectives. This role has multiple supervisors and cross functional teams reporting into this role.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • The manager is responsible for sound working knowledge of plant safety to ensure a safe work environment is maintained always. This includes a working knowledge of chemical and gas handling and safety protocols.

  • Ensures various teams' goals are aligned with and represent the company's objectives.

  • Works proactively in addressing potential issues and applies real-time problem-solving skills when working towards a resolution.

  • Responsible for maintaining the "people capability" to meet established goals. This involves hiring, training, communication, goal setting, and reinforcement through recognition and performance management.

  • Ensures the highest attainment of customer delivery performance and customer satisfaction

  • Ensures capacity and materials available to guarantee on-time hardware delivery.

  • Ensure production operators have the work instructions, processes, equipment, tooling, training, and tools to meet business unit goals.

  • This role requires a high degree of process and product line knowledge, communication, and real time problem-solving skills.

  • Responsible for meeting customer service level goals for the department. This requires manpower scheduling, equipment capacity management, and a sound understanding of demand planning and material consumption requirements.

  • Responsible for establishing and managing the business unit budget and providing input to annual capital budget requirements.

  • May have multi-shift responsibilities.

Qualification: Basic Qualifications

  • Minimum five years of experience of direct operational management

  • Minimum 1 year of experience of direct staff management

Preferred Qualifications

  • Demonstrated direct report and team leadership experience

  • Understand and deploy ACE, Lean and Continuous Improvement principles

  • Ability to effectively present information senior leadership, direct reports, clients, customers, and the general public.

  • Demonstrated Six Sigma proficiency

  • Ability to understand manufacturing processes

Education:

  • Bachelor’s Degree required

  • Master’s Degree preferred

  • Lean Certification preferred
