As part of the Sensors & Integrated Systems (SIS) team, you'll help develop the next generation of more intelligent, more integrated and more reliable solutions that enhance aircraft safety and performance in the most rigorous flight conditions. In this role, you will have a unique opportunity to interface and work with a world-class wind tunnel facility, product improvement lab, and environmental test lab.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Working on teams or individually to develop new, advanced aircraft system solutions (design, verification, and validation) and support existing products

  • Develop conceptual designs

  • Develop detailed solid models and drawings of components and assemblies

  • Test/evaluate operational performance in environmental conditions

  • Develop documentation of designs via formal procedures and reports

  • Prepare and present designs for customer and certification authority approvals

  • Provide design engineering support to internal and external customers ​

Qualification:

Basic Qualifications:

  • Must be pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Aerospace, Mechanical, or Materials Engineering

  • Must have a 3.0 GPA or higher

  • Must have completed at least 30 credit hours of college coursework​

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Analytical skills including knowledge of physics, dynamics, and statics

  • Basic experience presenting design solutions

  • PTC Creo experience (or other high-end CAD software package)

  • Design experience with material selection, machining, and material joining

  • Experience with FEA or Strength hand calculations

  • Previous experience working in an Integrated Development Team Environment

  • Individual must be very detail oriented and thorough in daily work activities

  • Customer skills and customer focus (both internal and external customers)

  • Good analytical skills

  • Ability to work as part of an integrated product team

  • Ability to multi-task and prioritize both daily issues

  • Good written and verbal skills

  • ​​Excellent computer skills, including skill in Microsoft Office applications and the ability to learn new software

Education: Pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Aerospace, Mechanical, or Materials Engineering.
