In a team oriented environment and in a timely efficient manner, the Repair Station Inspector physically inspects aircraft components, and reviews paperwork to ensure that workmanship meets acceptable standards and quality, customer requirements have been met, and components are returned to service in an airworthy condition with all required documentation accurately completed and filed.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Inspecting components for workmanship quality, and airworthiness both in-process and final.

  • Prioritize product inspection per schedule needs

  • Verifying maintenance records are accurate and complete.

  • Reviewing customer requirements, administrative notes, and work performed in the company information system to ensure accuracy and completeness.

  • Verifying approved/acceptable technical data was used.

  • Understanding & interpreting technical data (CMM, SB’s, drawings, customer documents, etc.)

  • Using proper inspection methods & equipment (inspection hand tools, visual aids, etc.)

  • Generating the applicable return to service tag (FAA 8130-3, CAAC AAC-038, and Certificate of Conformance) in accordance with applicable government agencies (FAA, EASA, CAAC, etc.) requirements.

  • Creating the strip report and shipping documents.

  • Answering quality and inspection questions.

  • Communicating effectively with management, engineering, and repair administration on quality issues as required.

  • Continually monitor repair station compliance with CFR Part 145 and the FAA accepted Repair Station and Quality Control Manual.

  • Maintaining required skills, knowledge and Certifications as required.

  • Other duties as assigned by management.

Additional Comments:

  • FAA A&P License or a Repairman Certificate must be obtained within three months after hire

  • Airframe and Powerplant License or a Repairman Certificate must be obtained within three months after hire

  • Accuracy and attention to detail is highly important

  • Ability to communicate effectively and tactfully with a wide variety of internal and external customers and support groups.

  • Excellent organizational skills with the ability to work under stress.

  • Ability and flexibility to work overtime and weekends as needed.

This position is considered safety sensitive in accordance with FAA Guidelines. Candidate will be subject to drug and alcohol testing per FAA's regulation 14 CFR part 120, as well as 49 CFR part 40.

Qualification:

Basic Qualifications:

  • Minimum 18 Months experience in Aerospace

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Proficient in blueprint reading and interpretation of technical data and quality procedures.

  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.

  • Strong computer skills in word processing, spreadsheets, and databases.

  • SAP a plus

Education: • High School Diploma or equivalent

• FAA A&P Certificate a plus
