Looking for a highly motivated individual to fulfill an individual contributor opening as a Senior Associate, Industrial Engineer in our Mission Systems Supply Quality - Strategy and Integration organization. The team’s focus will be on integration, project management, process improvement, and contractor management. Candidates should possess experience in Root Cause and Corrective Action, Continuous Improvement, Data Analysis, Inspection Methods, as well as Project Management including team facilitation. Candidates must have excellent communication, organizational and time management skills, and an overall strong quality focus. They must be able to work within cross-functional teams to meet and improve upon established quality and delivery goals.
Other focus areas of this individual is to develop relationships with sites within MS, Central organizations, Program Management and Engineering teams. The goal is to create a trusting relationship with emphasis on removing waste and variability from processes to assist MS sites and suppliers in reducing their costs, and improving the suppliers' quality and delivery. Person should also have the knowledge in lean and lean techniques with an ability to work with suppliers and MS sites on lean improvement activity with the supply base for both operational and quality improvement.
Provide evaluations of internal site level supplier quality processes and recommend/implement improvement initiatives
Lead analysis of organizational performance and strategic efforts for continuous improvement
Lead performance management by analyzing Supplier performance data, identifying opportunities for improvement and driving actions on supplier development
Proactive reduction and prevention of supplied material defect occurrences and verification of supplied material defect claims
Leading cross-functional teams in pursuit of performance improvements aligned to department and organizational goals
Preventing/Minimizing business impact from supplied material defects; supplier quality risk mitigation
Lead on-site events with internal SQE representatives from MS locations
Develop solutions to problems of unusual complexity which require a high degree of ingenuity, creativity, and innovation
Provide project management guidance and support to projects and processes
Exercise independent judgment methods, techniques and evaluation criteria for obtaining results
Gather, analyze, and interpret data to make strategic business decisions/recommendations
Other duties as required
Up to 30-40% Travel on average
This position requires a Bachelor’s degree in the appropriate discipline and 3 years of relevant experience. In the absence of a degree, 7 years of relevant experience is required. US Citizenship is required. STEM degree highly preferred.
Candidates should possess experience in Supplier Management, Quality Management Systems (QMS), SAP, ACE and/or Six Sigma tools, Continuous Improvement Experience, Data Analysis, and possess strong Excel skills.
