The Customer Strategy & Growth (CS&G) organization helps position UTC Aerospace Systems for success by driving a forward-thinking, customer-focused culture. The organization is comprised of three groups – Aerospace Customers, Business Development, and Corporate Strategy & Development – in order to best support our customers. Altogether, Customer Strategy & Growth offers significant opportunities to create more value for customers, grow customer relationships and execute long-term corporate strategy that is critical to our continued success.

As a Customer Strategy and Growth Co-op at UTC Aerospace Systems one will assist the Customer, Strategy and Growth organization develop customer reports, generate ad hoc analysis, and work tasks as assigned by the executive team. They will work directly with the organization’s leadership. A significant amount of time will also be spent with OEM executives to collect their reporting and analytics needs as well as work with them to finalize the deliver to their needs.

The ideal candidate will have solid analytical skills and be able to communicate well with others within the organization. Being able to handle multiple tasks and priorities is very important as well. This role has direct visibility to the UTC Aerospace systems leadership team.

The environment is dynamic with a mixture of ongoing projects as well as daily requests for information. Upon completion of this Intern experience, this person will have a solid grip of how Project Management works in the real world, work with a team in-person and remote, and appreciate how their efforts have a direct impact on cost savings, customer satisfaction, and success for the entire team.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Project management and development of reports and dashboards (customer scorecards) which will have a direct impact on cost savings and customer satisfaction.

  • Analytic support operational initiatives

  • Setup and host several WebEx team meetings, presentations, code walkthrough

Qualification:

Basic Qualifications:

  • Must be pursuing a bachelor’s or master’s degree in Business, Marketing, or Communications

  • Must have completed at least 30 credit hours of college coursework by Sep 1, 2018

  • GPA of 3.0 or above is required

  • Experience with MS Word and Excel

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Able to anticipate and work job tasks independently instead of just doing tasks as given by manager

  • Critical/strategic thinking ability

  • Strong interpersonal and communications skills

  • Results-oriented

  • Strong analytical skills coupled with the ability to develop strategy

  • Teamwork & Collaboration

  • Manage and prioritize several projects/tasks

Education:

  • Must be pursuing a bachelor’s or master’s degree in Business, Marketing, or Communications.
