Get on-board the UTC Aerospace Operations and Supply Chain team and play a part in managing our innovative products from inception to delivery. Operations and Supply Chain employees have the opportunity to network across our businesses and functions, all while improving the productivity, quality and efficiency of our operations worldwide.

The Industrial Program Management is supplier/component level focused on delivery and production rate readiness activities. This Industrial Manager position will oversee all hardware for SIS-AIS product families which encompasses approximately 5-8 product lines. This role will not manage people. This person will drive performance, process improvement and risk mitigation planning across multi-disciplinary teams including Supply Chain, Delivery Assurance, Engineering, Quality, Program Office, and work closely with the Supplier Performance lean on rate readiness. This position will report to the AIS Program Management Site Lead in Cheshire, CT.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Ensure Industrial risk mitigation and contingency planning

  • Maintain internal/external supplier level industrial reporting

  • Support UTAS & Customer reviews (Program Reviews, Rate Readiness, etc.)

  • Support supplier health assessments and rate readiness reviews

  • Facilitate engineering activities (New product/design change cut in plans, deviations and lifting action plans, etc. ...) in support of production rate readiness

  • Engage in Aftermarket retrofit rate planning activities

  • Coordinate resource/equipment capacity analyses and plans

  • Support Risk Mitigation planning and burn down activities

  • Drive yield improvement plans

  • Coordinate program capital requirements for equipment and tooling

  • Support program component obsolescence planning

  • Support demand planning\Line Balancing

Qualification:

Basic Qualifications:

  • Must be able to understand the value stream and facilitate solutions that ensure on time delivery of hardware and services Demonstrated knowledge of supply chain management tools and procedures

  • Demonstrated leadership and management skills in an operational role, particularly “influence management” and “conflict resolution”

  • Experience with metrics for assessing and reporting program and/or operations progress, productivity and variance analysis.

  • Demonstrated leadership and management skills in an operational role, particularly “influence management” and “conflict resolution”

  • SAP experience strongly desired

  • Microsoft Office experience (strong Excel/PowerPoint, Access a plus)

  • Experience working in a Matrix Organization with multiple customers

  • Communication skills: Negotiation, collaboration, creativity, presentation and communication (written and verbal), responsiveness, being open-minded, team player, facilitation

  • Strong customer interface skills

  • Demonstrated problem solving skills

Education:

  • Bachelor's Degree with 3+ year experience (Operations, Supply Chain, PMO and/or Project Engineering)
