United Technologies Aerospace Systems (UTAS) is searching for a Global Compliance Manager to join our team in Chula Vista, CA. This position will be a key contributor to Supply Chain Contracts and Compliance team. As the Global Compliance Manager, you will be responsible for leading the supply chain compliance team and ensuring compliance to UTC/UTAS/ASG and USG policies and procedures, in support of the supply chain organization.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Provide leadership for the Global Compliance team

  • Identify potential deficiencies and recommend corrective action to rectify utilizing and applying ACE tools.

  • Develop and deploy training to the Supply Chain organization

  • Identify and interpret report information (including the development of reports) within Supply Chain to aid in audits and evaluate and inform management of risk

  • Act as supply chain focal for REACh and International Trade Compliance (ITC) and a small business liaison office

  • Lead the compliance team in their execution of UTC/UTAS/ASG compliance initiatives

  • Guide, coach and mentor team individuals to achieve a high level of responsibilities and performance

  • Identify and make recommendations to enhance current policies and procedures to ensure compliance with USG requirements and UTC policies

  • Provide expertise in Supply Chain policies and procedures to support and assist in customer inquiries, reviews and audits as well as internal audits;

  • Develop and deploy training and tools to SCM Associates;

  • Utilize ACE tools to determine root cause, corrective action and apply mistake proofing actions to processes to prevent re-occurrence of escapes;

  • Provide management with reports to track corrective action effectiveness and define other areas of opportunity, identify customer requirements and associated risk;

  • Assist with internal/external audits of Supply Chain Compliance globally

  • Act as a small business liaison office in support of supply chain organization and provide regular small business reporting

  • May perform other duties & responsibilities as assigned

Qualification:

Basic Qualifications:

  • Good organizational and leadership skills, 2 years of management experience

  • Strong project management skills, and ability to effectively manage multiple tasks simultaneously

  • Demonstrated data analysis capability

  • Excellent written and oral communication skills

  • Ability to collaborate and influence with stakeholders

  • Self-motivated with a high energy level

  • Able to develop and deploy training materials

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Knowledge of SAP and eCase

  • Global mindset & cross-cultural experience & speak multiple languages

  • 7 years of Aerospace or supply chain and/or quality auditing experience

  • Working knowledge of FAR/DFARS and legal/contracts term and conditions or USG military procurement experience

Education:

  • Bachelor's degree is required,

  • Bachelor's Degree in the Supply Chain, Purchasing, or Engineering fields preferred.

  • Master's Degree is preferred.
