CMM Technical Team Member

Perform duties within Columbus Forge Metrology Department. The person accepting this job will train under the existing Metrology subject matter experts to learn how to perform all aspects of the job. Key responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Front line trouble shooter for operator

  • Maintain spare part inventory

  • Perform preventive maintenance on CMMs

  • Performing periodic checks to ensure CMMs performance is acceptable

  • Performing gage r&rs

  • Analyzing data to determine acceptability of correlations

  • Minor program edits

Overtime may be needed. Candidate must be willing to work an alternate work week, as demand requires. Be able to work in a team environment. Be able to handle multi-tasking duties.

* Education / Certifications

Two-year associate’s degree or work related experience required. Proficient with the following computer software: Microsoft Word, Excel, PCDMIS, Calypso and Outlook. Must have a general understanding of quality procedures. Candidate must be able to follow written/verbal procedures and instructions. Follow all (EH&S) Environmental Health & Safety rules and guidelines. Support ACE and continuous improvement. Possess good people, communication, and organizational skills. GD&T training is preferred.

* Experience/Qualifications

Experience working in a manufacturing quality environment for a fast paced manufacturing facility for more than 5 years is preferred. Experience working in the aerospace industry is preferred. Must be able to read and interpret complex blueprints. Candidate must possess exceptional people and communication skills.
