We are looking for skilled engineers to continue to shape the future of Aerospace Engineering. This position is for a design engineering position at our Columbus, GA forging and blades manufacturing facility. In this role, you'll have an opportunity to work on jet engines! Participation in the Engineering Development Program, a multi-year rotational program to accelerate technical capacities in a variety of disciplines Focused classroom training involving technical work experiences. It provides experience building your network of technical resources & engineering experts. It's a chance to boldly innovate and deliver mind-boggling results.

Responsibilities include:

  • You will conduct performance tests and stress analyses, creating layouts, sketches, and blueprints.

  • You will use application of research to the planning, design, development, and testing of mechanical hardware/components (specifically airfoils and forged disks).

  • You will build finite element models.

  • You will optimize designs for cost, weight, and performance.

  • You will develop process and methodology improvements.

  • You will research, design, and development in such areas as mechanical, thermal, hydraulic, thermodynamic, or heat transfer for production, transmission, measurement, and use of energy.

  • You will participate in Engineering Organizations: Columbus Georgia Engineering Team - Airfoil and Forge Business Engineering Focus Areas: Design, Materials, Mechanical, Product Definition, Project, Structural.

Travel:

The position may require limited travel. (10%)

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, with 1-2+ years of related experience. is required (OR) a Master's degree in Engineering with 0-1+ years of related experience.

  • 3.0 GPA minimum is required.

  • U.S. Citizenship required due to government contracts.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Previous Engineering internships preferred.

  • Firm grasp of engineering fundamentals preferred.
