Responsibilities:

We are seeking a highly motivated DT specialist with strong manufacturing/industrial automation skills to provide overall support for the P&W manufacturing facilities located in Columbus, GA. You will be responsible for design and support of the site’s technical automation solutions for critical value streams. You will work with core DT disciplines, out-sourced service providers, and customers to ensure that the needs, objectives, and requirements of the business are met.

  • Work with business leaders and machine tool vendors to understand specific DT automations requirements

  • Translating customer requirements into a solution design primarily with IoT, PLC, SCADA, Robotics, and sensor technology

  • Understand integration points of machine tools with key applications for manufacturing operations

  • Work with other P&W DT disciplines, as well as machine tool vendors to ensure coordinated project delivery to meet business priorities

  • Partner with P&W and DXC resources to develop solutions supporting business objectives

  • Team up with P&W and contracted vendor resources to support SCADA architecture and applications, as well as industrial machine controllers (CNC, PLC), and other peripherals

  • Document local DT automation processes, procedures and solutions

  • Support facility expansion & business transformation requirements in regards to IoT

  • Support the streamline of manufacturing processes and develop effective technologies

Qualification:

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Digital Technology / Automation Engineering (or similar Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Software/Computer Engineering) with specific concentrations or expertise in Programmable Logic Controller (PLC) programming or industrial automation

  • US Person Citizen due to program requirements

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Software development, integration, and scripting for manufacturing/industrial automation and robotics

  • Familiar with Siemens, Allen Bradley, and Rockwell controllers

  • Accustomed to Web Services, Python, Django, REST, Tomcat, Java, JavaScript, .NET, SQL, and Oracle

  • Code and development lifecycle management through GITHUB is a plus

  • Manufacturing processes with Furnaces, Forge Presses, Multi-axis Machining Centers

  • Inspection processes with Coordinate Measuring Machines and BlueLight Laser

  • Understanding Operations for Material Management and Predictive Analytics

  • Excellent customer service skills required providing a high level of service to satisfy/fulfill internal or external needs accurately in a timely manner

  • Ability to work independently with limited direction to accomplish goals, and have the ability to recognize areas for process improvement & formulate actionable plans to address such areas.

  • Ability to interpret high level business requirements, and liaise between business customers, technology teams and support teams.

  • Strong analytical, organizational, problem solving, project management, concise writing, communications and presentation skills highly desired.

  • Ability to work in a high energy, fast paced environment, able to adapt to changing business needs

  • Highly self-directed and able to learn quickly with a strong ability to drive and deliver results

  • MS Office products with proficiency in MS Excel & MS PowerPoint

  • Strong analytical skills, demonstrated organizational and leadership skills, examples of effective teamwork, a track record of consistently meeting deadlines and due dates

  • Craft clear communication
