We are seeking a highly motivated, team oriented, and experienced non-product Commodities Manager to support our Engine Center in Columbus, Georgia. You will get to lead the sourcing and tactical buying activities related to the day-to-day business operations and its strategic procurement of non-product supplies. This includes tooling, chemicals, shop supplies, capital assets, and contractor services and labor in support of this facility. In this position, you are also responsible for the administration and oversight of Long Term Agreements and ensuring suppliers are performing to the contract terms and conditions. This position will require diplomatic and professional communication skills to tactfully interact with local management on behalf of the Aftermarket Supply Chain team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • You will lead all strategic sourcing initiatives and of contract/LTA negotiations taking advantage of every opportunity to negotiate and obtain the best cost/value for non-product supplier purchases.

  • You''re responsible for supplier management, developing relationships with all suppliers and ensuring adherence to performance management goals.

  • You'll also work with internal departments to develop business processes that keep purchases within budget and lead time while facilitating perfect supplier quality performance.

  • You will balance a diversified workload that may involve cross-buying, with all its responsibilities, for other areas within Commercial Engines and Aftermarket Supply Chain

  • You manage and follow all standard work, purchasing policies/practices and regulatory compliance requirements.

  • And, you will generate presentations to communicate results and other pertinent information with internal customers and senior management.

Qualification:

Basic Qualifications:

  • You have graduated with a Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Business, Finance or Supply Chain.

  • You are a US Person or US Citizen.

  • You have 7or more years working in Supply Chain, Purchasing, Procurement, Commodity Management and/or Strategic Sourcing.

  • You've also worked at least 12 months in a manufacturing environment.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • You've completed your graduate degree or MBA program.

  • You have 10 years’ experience in an Aftermarket or Repair Station facility managing commodities and have a solid understanding of supplier performance and relations management.

  • Your background includes working with ACE, Lean Manufacturing, Six-Sigma or related Continuous Improvement tools and metrics.

  • You've development and managed Total Quality Management tools and supplier Key Performance Indicators and Service Level Agreement.

  • You are comfortable working with MS Office programs like Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint and Word. Previous SAP ERP experience desired.

  • Knowledge of International Trade Compliance, TINA, DFAR/FAR related to material logistics desired.

  • Familiarity with turbofan engines and components preferred; Engineering experience a plus.

  • Proven track record of accomplishments in cost savings and continuous improvement initiatives.

  • Energetic and outgoing personality with previous Customer Service and Sales experience.

  • Expert communication and presentation ability.
