Position Summary:

The Inside Sales Representative is a member of the Interlogix US Sales organization and is responsible for providing sales support to Regional Sales Managers, dealers, distributors, end-users, architect and engineer consultants within the West region. Working closely within the assigned region, this includes: providing quotes for product sales to customers and Interlogix's field sales, direct selling of products to dealers, promoting new product introductions to Interlogix's customers, communicating updates and/or changes to products, and responding to routine sales leads from internal or external sources. This role is based in Costa Mesa, California.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Provides outbound and inbound sales support to dealers and distributors through order and issue escalation management

  • Supports or leads short-term sales initiatives/ marketing campaigns

  • Proactive selling initiatives/lead qualification

  • Generates and issue sales quotes related to product and support services

  • Communicates sales promotions, new product introductions or updates to dealers and distributors

  • Hosts customer site visits to perform product demonstrations

  • 40% of calls will be outbound to customers with minimum call expectations set

  • Completes and responds to general specification requests for pre-project bids

  • Manages customer contact information, sales opportunities, and correspondences through the use of Salesforce.com

  • Up to 25% travel to support sales meetings, trade shows, and campaigns

Qualification:

  • Team-oriented and able to adapt quickly to changes in the market

  • Excellent communication skills – phone, verbal, written, presentations

  • Comfortable presenting and providing product demonstrations

  • Strong selling skills, process-oriented, exceptionally organized

  • Ability to translate technical advantages into business benefits

  • Technology oriented with some system design experience preferred

  • Experience in the security industry preferred

  • Experience with Salesforce.com is a plus

Education:

  • Associate's degree with 5–10+ years experience

  • Bachelor's degree with 2–5+ years experience

  • Master's degree with 0–2+ years experience
