Pratt & Whitney, a recognized leading producer of the world’s most advanced Commercial and Military Turbine Engines, is seeking a highly motivated, technically talented individual, who has a true desire to lead and coach in a dynamic operations environment to support our Hot Section Module Center (HSMC).

As the Cell Leader you will be responsible for overall management of 2nd shift operations, to ensure customer/business objectives are met. You will work closely with all cell leaders and the leadership team to ensure resources, quality issues and other objectives are met.

The successful candidate will provide direction to skilled HSMC bargaining unit employees, leading employee engagement and continuous improvement efforts guided by our Control Tower objectives. ACE is our operating system and we will look for this individual to lead sustained improvements in safety, quality, production, material procurement, and cost reduction through the system’s various elements. In addition to daily supervisor responsibilities, project management, effective communication and execution with support group members is critical to the department’s success.

Typical duties may include, but not limited to the following:

  • Provide leadership and direction with emphasis on team building through daily toolbox meetings, effective communications, and in developing an efficient team that is responsive to production requirements and changes

  • Establish work schedules taking into account customer requirements, resource availability and other priorities

  • Delegate effectively to develop personnel and effectively balance workload

  • Work proactively to address issues and engage the workforce in achieving cell goals.

Qualification:

Basic Qualifications:

  • U.S. Citizenship is required for this position due to government contract

  • Bachelor’s Degree and 2+ years of manufacturing, Military or Merchant Marines experience or;

  • High School Diploma and 4+ years of manufacturing, US Military or Merchant Marines leadership experience

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree

  • Active Security Clearance

Education: Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
