In your role as an Advanced Quality Systems Manager , you will be responsible for ensuring P&W’s continued compliance to customer, regulatory, and UTC requirements through development and maintenance of the Quality Management System. This involves researching and writing complex material for use in Company publications or documentation to customers, partners and employees. You will also prepare concise and accurate written documentation such as procedures, and graphic materials.

Additional responsibilities include:

  • Conducting thorough investigations and analyzing complex data and quality, business, and manufacturing processes to provide innovative ways for problem resolution while ensuring compliance to applicable requirements

  • Performing dynamic duties in the administration of business proposals and quality plans, specifically:

  1. Coordinating review of proposals/quality plans with cognizant business units to determine terms are in accordance with Company commitments and responsive to customer requirements

  2. Maintaining lines of communication with customer, and as required, negotiating Quality terms & conditions

  3. Ensuring industry standard / customer contract / regulatory requirements are flowed down to and understood by responsible business units via applicable policies/procedures

  4. Planning, identifying and resolving gaps to Quality System, working with customers, suppliers, subject matter experts, and Program Quality

  5. Supporting successful integration of new engine programs, business entities, and key program initiatives into the PW Management System

  • Participating and/or leading in process improvement initiatives and contributing to the overall Advanced Quality Systems (AQS) ACE process health

  • Assignments will include preparation of quality system documents and participation on applicable teams, and some associations external to P&W

Qualification:

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree required; Quality Management, Engineering, Industrial Technology, Information Technology, or other related technical field of study preferred

  • 5+ years of experience in Quality Assurance, Contract Administration or a technical related field

  • 2+ years of experience in MS Office applications such as Outlook, Word and Excel

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills

  • Additional years of experience or professional certification (e.g. CQE, CQM, etc) will be considered a plus

  • Audit, compliance or quality systems experience in the Aerospace Industry, including experience with AS9100 / ISO 9001

  • Knowledge of special processes, engineering, purchasing, programs, contracts. process cert., FAI, non-conforming material, Control of Inspection, Measuring and Test Equipment and/or MRB

  • Demonstrated leadership skills such as customer focus, teaming skills, business judgement, adaptability and communication skills

  • Organizational/project management skills

  • Ability to lead change and continuously improve through a service orientation desired

  • Six Sigma Green Belt Certification or ACE Associate
