The Deputy Program Manager will be leading technology programs under the Military Engines Portfolio.

This position is responsible for:

• Managing technology development programs in support of P&W strategic goals.

• Working with Government Customers.

• Lead programs and support the AMEP IPMT

• Lead proposal teams to meet customer expectations and win programs based on P&W strategic goals.

• Lead multi-functional teams to meet P&W objectives using P&W processes.

• Interface with P&W Military engines senior management as required keeping management informed and ensuring alignment with P&W strategic goals.

As a member of Advanced Military Engines Program Office, you will manage a portfolio of government contracts work, with the engineering team to monitor technical progress, spending, schedule and ensure all contract deliverables are submitted on time. In addition the program manager will work with the contracts, legal and finance teams to resolve programmatic and contractual issues to support sales goals.

Communicate with government customers to keep them abreast of contract and technical progress and help to resolve issues arising during contract execution. Government customers include USAF/AFRL, ONR, DOE, ARMY, NASA and DARPA.

Secure new contract work for the AMEP technology portfolio by understanding future technology needs through interactions with P&W and government technology and program managers, fellows, and discipline chiefs; identifying opportunities; and working with various P&W groups through proposal development and submittal.

Support periodic visits with various government agencies as part of our business development strategy.

Qualification: Basic Qualifications:

  • 3+ years of experience managing programs.

  • Technical, project, and/or program management experience to efficiently execute complex program activities

  • Experience working with government customers and government contracting.

  • Experience with financial management and the ability to manage budgets.

  • U.S. citizenship and ability to maintain a security clearance.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • PM certification a plus.

  • A working knowledge of P&W EV and IMS tools will be beneficial.

  • Export Compliance experience is a plus.

  • Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously and the ability to make sound decisions consistent with program strategies.

  • Experience with daily interactions with dynamic engineering, contracts, legal and finance teams is desired.

  • Good communication skills (written and oral), as interactions are required with various organizations within P&W, including legal, finance, pricing, and engineering, as well as customers’ technical and contracts personnel.

  • Knowledge of P&W proposal process and experience working government contracts.

  • Using the framework of Experience with PW 1.5 L2, as well as ACE tools and metrics is helpful.

Education: Bachelor of Science in an engineering discipline or equivalent field.
