Pratt & Whitney's Global Services Engineering (GSE) organization is currently seeking a Designated Engine Representative (DER) Validation Deputy to support GSE's Aftermarket support activities. The Validation Deputy will assist the GSE Validation Discipline Chief with daily activities related to Engineering Standard Work, Validation Proficiency Development, and the creation/improvement of validation best practices to maintain alignment with FAA regulatory requirements and P&W cross company policy. .

Responsibilities include:

  • You will develop training material and administer training to GSE personnel.

  • You will assist the Discipline Chief in managing validation proficiency. Developing, reviewing and maintaining GSE's Validation Engineering Standard Work Instructions and validation procedures.

  • You will participate in multi-functional discipline meetings to establish engineering best practices, and incorporate process improvements throughout the organization.

  • Perform typical GSE DER responsibilities, including: Ensuring repair developers demonstrate compliance with FAA Regulations, and all technical data is complete, accurate and consistent with Pratt & Whitney engineering standards.

Travel:

The position may require limited travel. (10%)

Qualification:

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering.

  • 15+ years of experience working within the gas turbine engine overhaul, maintenance and part repair industry.

  • Requires current DER delegation per FAA Order 8110.37, Chart E, A1-A7, ideally including special delegation of major repairs and major alterations.

  • U.S. Citizenship required due to government contracts/US Person

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Advanced degree desirable.

  • Experience coordinating across multiple disciplines and integrate organizational work practices.

  • Exceptional QCPC system knowledge and usage.
