We have a fabulous opportunity for a Director, Global Leadership Development within our Talent team in East Hartford, CT. In this position, you are responsible for creation and delivery of an enterprise wide leadership development strategy to support our vision of leadership. The role is global in scope, and reports to the Sr. Director, Talent for Pratt and Whitney.

Responsibilities/Accountabilities

Your primary accountability is to support Pratt and Whitney’s growth strategy. How will you do this? By researching, crafting and implementing a leadership development strategy that will attract, retain and develop the best leaders in the industry. With your out-of-the-box ideas and vision, you will consult on best in class leadership development frameworks. With you on the Talent team, we will deliver the strategy and programs to make a world-class Employee Experience.

Key programs and areas of responsibility will include but not be limited to:

  • Serve as coach and sounding board to individual leaders working on personal development plans

  • Analyze and report on leadership data and research trends to ensure best in class and creative solutions are continuously integrated into development solutions

  • Develop a strong external benchmark network with other top organizations and associations

  • Use adult learning, instructional and employee design principles to create multiple format (e.g. digital, performance, on the job) learning solutions for leaders

  • Act as a consultant and provide direction by partnering with HR Business Partners and Business Leaders. Together, develop learning programs that address key competency and/or leadership gaps

  • Maintain and apply strong knowledge of effective and fun learning technologies and design thinking methodologies

  • Customize your program as needed to support development of leaders at various levels of the organization

  • Provide oversight of all leadership development programs including related assessments, selection processes/tools and development initiatives/events

  • Build and deliver against an internal and external branding strategy for leadership development that supports global and regional needs, flexible to cultural nuances, and positions Pratt and Whitney as a company to benchmark in employee development

Qualification:

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business or related field

  • 15+ years of related professional work experience in HR

  • Must have unrestricted work authorization to work in the United States

Preferred Qualifications

  • Masters in Human Resource, Business or Related Social Sciences

  • 8+ years of experience as a People Leader and leading teams

  • Background in Leadership / Executive Development

  • Ability to influence through data driven recommendations

  • Ability to define, articulate, and market a strategic vision and execution plan using data to generate insights and action.

  • Strong external orientation with deep expertise in fields of talent management, leadership development and organizational development

  • Experience global/international company

  • Track record of developing and executing broad scale organizational capability in talent management including leadership development and delivering leadership and pipeline development initiatives

  • Experience and knowledge of both instructional design and design thinking principles

  • Strategic thinker with a proven track record of initiative, creativity and strong bias for action and disciplined execution

  • Strong business acumen in understanding how organizations work

  • Excellent project management, planning and analytical skill with strong group facilitation skills
