We have a wonderful opportunity to join our team as a Legacy Product Cost Lead.

Position Overview

In this role you will be given the opportunity to lead initiatives by inspiring teamwork across various groups. You will track risks/opportunities and accurately represent the efforts between Global Supply Chain, Mod Centers, Engineering, Finance, IT, materials, and the respective program office in the timely achievement of product cost reduction targets for legacy engine models. Primary focus is on the Tanker engine model for Military Engines.

Other models currently tracked (at varying levels of detail) are F100, F119, and GP7000. This person will drive and support successful execution of cost reduction activities in order to drive product costs down to target.

Responsibilities include

  • Acting on behalf of the Product Cost VP in support of the execution of all legacy cost reduction tasks in conjunction with the PCMT

  • Track, assess risk/opportunities and prioritize key strategic and tactical tasks to reduce product cost

  • Work closely with the transition team to track and assess opportunities to accelerate key transitions

  • Collaborate with the Program Office, suppliers, Engineering, Materials, IT, shop, and Finance

  • Evaluate our engine cost model (ECM) database for cost reduction drivers and develop strategy to accelerate initiatives

  • Document lessons learned

  • Support one company product cost efforts such as should cost modeling

  • Continuously find opportunities to improve product cost processes

  • Collaborate with Product Cost owners across the PW supply chain to find life cycle cost strategies

  • Develop communication packages

  • Comply with the EH&S Policy and applicable regulatory and company EH&S rules and requirements.

Qualification: Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree

  • 3+ years of manufacturing experience in Supply Chain, Engineering, Operations or other relevant experience required

  • U.S. Citizenship Required

Preferred Qualifications

  • B.S. in Engineering, Manufacturing, Operations or other related technical discipline

  • MBA

  • Strong understanding/exposure to the following

  • Experience leading projects and/or programs utilizing Project Management techniques

  • Demonstrated ability to get results cross-functionally

  • Experience working as an Engineer/ Manufacturing Engineer

  • Cost modeling and/or cost reduction experience

  • Supply Chain, Materials, Procurement experience

  • Financial acumen
