Job Description

Global Services Engineering (GSE) is seeking a Manager to lead one of our Military Engines Repair Teams. This position requires the management of a team of engineers in a distributed organization supporting PW’s Worldwide Military customer base. The Repair Manager interfaces directly with PW Military Program Directors, PW Technical Leaders, and Program and Technical leaders within US Military organizations. Additionally, you will collaborate with the GSE Leadership team to determine the strategic path for their repair organization, and provide leadership to execute on that path.

Key Responsibilities Include:

  • Leading an engineering team responsible for the design, validation, and demonstration of military repairs, with associated tooling.

  • Managing all aspects of military repair delivery, including schedule, cost, quality, and successful execution.

  • Managing the team’s finances by creating budgets, execution plans, and staffing plans to support the OMM (operating management meeting) planning process.

  • Determine and execute hiring and outsourcing needs.

Other responsibilities include:

  • Executing the Market Feedback Analysis (MFA) process for PW internal and external customers. Manage Military customer expectations to ensure a delighted customer.

  • Driving continuous improvement activities and robust root cause investigations to ensure GSE and PW continue to deliver World Class customer and shareholder value.

  • Coach/guide/mentor employees to ensure appropriate proficiency advancement and employee satisfaction.

Qualification:

Required Qualifications:

  • BS in Engineering

  • Minimum 10 years engineering experience, including team leadership and customer focus.

  • US citizenship is required due to program requirements.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • BS in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or Manufacturing Engineering. MS or MBA preferred.

  • Previous supervisory responsibilities.

  • Experience with EVMS requirements preferable.
