A rare opportunity exists to join us in the role of Pricing Analyst our East Hartford, CT campus. This high-profile and high visibility role will collaborate with the existing Aftermarket Pricing team to identify, develop, and implement initiatives that will drive additional value and profit for Pratt & Whitney.

The Commercial Engines Aftermarket Pricing team is responsible for the pricing of products and services offered to owners and operators of our jet engines. Since inception, the team has contributed more than $200M to Pratt & Whitney’s bottom line and we are looking to grow our team to continue to drive value into our organization.

Responsibilities/Accountabilities:

  • This role will also collaborate with teams across the entire organization and across the globe, in order to understand where and how these opportunities may be employed.

  • To do this, you will need to be able to perform business case analyses and other assessments to ensure that chosen initiatives will drive the anticipated value to the business.

  • You will be a creator and innovator, have an abundance of drive, analytical skills, problem solving skills, and attention to detail.

  • You will also have a proven history of collaboration with teams with varied strengths and a strong acumen with respect to communicating with individuals at all levels of the organization, from senior executives to individual contributors.

  • Work side-by-side with teams in other organizations to identify new opportunities for business value

  • Analyze and quantify the potential benefits and drawbacks of found opportunities

  • Prepare business cases and overviews to be reviewed by cross functional teams and executive committees

  • Drive timely implementation of initiatives across the organization, to help drive additional EBIT to Pratt & Whitney

  • Maintain information and data from various sources that will be used in constant business analysis

  • Support existing business processes and units for spare part and repair pricing

  • Identify and implement opportunities for process improvement within our organization, to better enable our group to deliver on our commitments

  • Act as an advocate for the continuous improvement in the ways we extract value from our business

Qualification:

Basic Qualifications:

  • A minimum of 5 years in business analysis environment or sales landscape is required.

  • 2 years of work experience with financial or technical modeling required.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • MS/MBA preferred

  • Proven experience with financial assessment (understanding of NPV, negotiations, value propositions)

  • Experience in the aerospace or other large industrial a plus

  • Excellent communication skills (oral, written, and presentation)

  • Organizational savvy

  • Flexibility in a high-energy and dynamic environment

  • Project Management skills

  • Ability to lead teams as well as be a contributor to a team

  • Advanced proficiency in MS Excel and database design (VBA, SQL, Oracle, Teredata)

  • Proficiency with business analytics software (e.g. Qlik, Tableau) and data mining tools (e.g. R, SAS) a major plus
