Are you ready for a role affording high level exposure to Pratt & Whitney's engine business and the strategic supply chain supporting it? The highly motivated colleague filling this position will serve as the liaison between strategic supply chain management and the product cost management, program management, and engineering teams. Responsibilities and deliverables include:
Team with Strategic Sourcing Managers (SSMs) to identify and achieve initiatives that reduce cost, secure supply, and improve quality throughout the product life cycle
Partner with the Transition Team to track and assess opportunities and accelerate key buy-to-buy, make-to-buy, and buy-to-make transitions
Collaborate with the Product Cost Management Team (PCMT) and Engineering to facilitate execution of the aforementioned projects
Interface with the Program Office, Materials, IT, and Finance to track and report on these projects
Build productive relationships with Program Managers to understand their plans and strategic objectives
Liaise with the Program Office, New Product Introduction (NPI), and SSMs to source new programs
Develop consolidated high level plans for these initiatives. Monitor and report progress against these plans.
Summarize and communicate key messages to senior management during weekly reviews
Develop and foster positive working relationships while driving supply chain and program priorities.
B.S. in Engineering, Computer Science, Mathematics or analytical discipline
US Citizenship or Green Card
4+ years experience in Engineering or Mathematical/Modeling field or 2+yrs experience in Engineering,or Mathematical/Modeling with Master's Degree .
Advanced computer proficiency, including Microsoft Office
Strong initiative, excellent judgement, professional maturity, and communication skills.
Ability to craft both verbal and written communications for all levels.
