The Propulsion Systems Analysis (PSA) group is at the forefront of advancing next generation engine capability through engine performance and operability optimization. The Geared Turbofan engine has excelled at commercial single-aisle market sales, motivating additional platforms, and continued innovation through the next generation product family product line. Likewise, the military products of the F-22 Raptor, F-35 Joint Strike Fighter, and next generation adaptive cycle engines are ground-breaking engineering innovations that define what is state of the art for jet engines.

Do you have experience to join our team? The Senior Engineer for Aero Thermal Fluids Engineering will have responsibilities in the following areas.

Responsibilities:

  • Evaluate and perform operational engine performance and modeling.

  • Utilize engine systems stability analysis for operability using numerical methods for cycle simulation.

  • Develop ground-breaking system level project engineering skills which involve application of steady state and transient thermodynamic principles to a wide range of operational aircraft engine performance topics.

  • Exhibit excellent interpersonal skills in a collaborative, inter-disciplinary environment.

Qualification:

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Aerospace or Mechanical Engineering with 4 years of experience as an Engineer in Thermal Analysis.

  • Master's degree in Aerospace or Mechanical Engineering with 2 years of experience as an Engineer in Thermal Analysis.

  • PhD degree in Aerospace or Mechanical Engineering with research experience in aircraft propulsion.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in statistical methods or data analytics

Education: Bachelor’s, Master's or PhD degree in Aerospace or Mechanical Engineering
