In this role, you will be in charge of leading and overseeing Pratt & Whitney’s Ethics & Compliance program for the Operations organization, functioning as an independent leader who reviews, evaluates, investigates and assesses ethicsandcompliance issues and concerns. The position reports directly toP&W’sSeniorDirector,GlobalEthics&Compliance, with a dotted line to the SeniorVicePresident,Operations. Travel to Pratt&Whitney’s Operations sites, both domestically and internationally, will be required.

Responsibilities will generally focus on the following:

  • Serve as lead Ethics&ComplianceOfficer for ethics & compliance issues in theOperationsorganization.

  • Leads and manages the Operations E&C team, including full-time and part-time Ethics & Compliance Officers

  • Provides leadership and support inthedevelopment of programs, initiatives and policies for theEthics&Complianceprogram to prevent and investigate illegal, unethical, or improper conduct by employees and third parties supporting P&W.

  • Responsible for leading efforts to continually enhance and improveP&WOperations’ ethics and “Speak Up” culture.

  • Participates inthedevelopment and support of efforts to operationalize ethicsandcompliance requirements in the P&WOperations organization and across P&W.

  • Leads and participates in Ethics&Complianceinitiatives, teams and committees as required.

  • Leads and assists with ethics&complianceinitiatives and programs related toP&W’s suppliers Investigations

  • Leads, coordinates and actively participates in efforts to investigate reported complaints against and alleged violations by individuals or the organization.

  • Manages investigation processes to ensure timely and effective completion and closure of investigations and implementation of appropriate corrective actions.

  • Supports efforts to ensure proper reporting of violations to duly authorized enforcement agencies as appropriate.

  • Coordinates with Ombudsmen to address anonymous allegations.

  • Works with Human Resources, Communications, Legal Operations and others, as appropriate, to develop an effective Ethics & Compliance training program, including appropriate introductory training for new employees as well as ongoing training for all employees and managers, through Ethics & Compliance Education Center modules, in-person training and other initiatives.

  • Institutes and maintains an effective Ethics & Compliance communication program for the organization, including promoting (a) use of the Ombudsman system; (b) heightened awareness of the UTC Code of Ethics, (c) understanding of new and existing compliance issues and related policies and procedures, and (d) other communication efforts for Pratt & Whitney employees and third parties.

  • Identifies potential areas of compliance vulnerability and risk, including through Enterprise Risk Management process; develops/implements corrective action plans for resolution of problematic issues, and provides general mentorship on how to avoid or takecareof similar situations in the future.

  • Monitors the performance of theEthics&Complianceprogram and relates activities on a continuing basis, taking appropriate steps to improve its effectiveness.

  • Performs other tasks as assigned by the SeniorDirector,GlobalEthics&Compliance or SeniorVicePresident,Operations.

Qualification:

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree

  • US Citizen due to government program requirements

Preferred Qualifications:

  • MA/MS degree w/7+ years’ experience JD degree w/4 + years’ experience

  • Ethics and/or compliance experience strongly preferred

  • Empathic and discreet

  • Knowledgeable of the organization's values and principles

  • Objective, fair and good judgment

  • Honest, direct and straightforward in communications

  • Positioned to make independent judgments with strong decision-making skills

  • Ability to influence actions, decisions and to inspire change

  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to work independently

  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively with associates at all levels through the organization

  • Excellent written and verbal interpersonal skills

  • Requires strong presentation and project management experience

  • Command of the English language
