If so, we have an opening for a 1st shift Shop Floor Control Supervisor in the The Hot Section Module Center – (HSMC) organization.

This role will provide you the opportunity to collaborate with 3PL organizations, HSMC, administration, materials, operations and as well as the internal manufacturing groups in redefining processes, execution on business requirements and delivery to customer expectations. Your leadership capabilities will help to direct various change management initiatives.

Through use of effective communication, understanding the manufacturing environment and displaying business insights.

Be forward thinking to ensure HSMC is transforming to meet the customer demands in a fast paced manufacturing environment.

Other responsibilities include:

  • Execute process and lead activities through multiple organizations

  • Establish and monitor standards and expectations for work effort and performance. Give constructive feedback on performance to those standards

  • Implement lean manufacturing measures to insure value streams and shop operations are stabilized at all times and/or to be able to identify areas of opportunity quickly

  • Communicate to peers and management, the requirements that support processes to ensure smooth production flow.

  • Establish system architecture designs that take into account customer requirements, resource availability, and other priorities.

Qualification:

Basic Qualifications:

  • Highschool Diploma or GED and 4 years of directly related experience in Engineering, Manufacturing and/or Operations or;

  • Bachelor’s degree and 1 year of experience in manufacturing environment either as an employee or through an Internship and/or Co-Op

  • US Citizen - Due to government contracts

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Ability to communicate clearly, concisely and constructively

  • Previous supervisory or leadership experience

  • Ability to solve problems using critical thought-processes

  • Ability to prioritize Competing priorities

  • Ability to work with all levels of management

  • Advanced knowledge of materials management strategies, lean manufacturing system design, shop floor management execution, and continuous improvement principles (e.g. lean manufacturing, Achievable Competitive Excellence (ACE) and Quality Control Process Charts (QCPC).(intern and/or co-op)

Education:

  • HS Diploma or GED

  • BA/BS preferred
