If so, we want to hear from you. The Quality System Effectiveness (QSE) team has a rare opportunity for a motivated individual to conduct embedded software audits internally and at suppliers. The job responsibilities require a good understanding of the Software Life Cycle (SLC) processes and RTCA-DO-178B. In this role of Software Quality Auditor , you will plan and accomplish a wide variety of quality activities, with moderate guidance related to software development and the use of software in test, design and analysis activities

Responsibilities include:

  • Review internal and supplier documentation to assure adequacy of definition, and conformance to all P&W requirements

  • Assist in the development of the yearly audit schedule as required

  • Evaluate and examine Embedded and Modeling software processes for compliance and improvement opportunities

  • Evaluate proposed corrective action plan and its effectiveness at eliminating the root cause of the discrepancy

  • Follow-up to assure the plan is effectively implemented

  • Familiar with coding standard, verification and validation, version control, change control process, access control, archive, backup and recovery, configuration management, etc

  • Travel may be up to 10%

Qualification:

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree required, Engineering or related technical field of study preferred

  • 3+ years of experience in a Quality, Engineering, Aerospace or other Technical role

  • US citizenship required due to government contracts

Preferred Qualifications:

  • ASQ or CQA auditor certification is a plus

  • Strong understanding of process capability including AS9100, RTCA-DO-178Band AS9115

  • Detail and results oriented with good problem solving skills

  • Ability to meet commitments, balance and resolve conflicting priorities

  • High energy, dynamic individual who strives for continuous improvement

  • Excellent Judgment and professional maturity

  • Ability to create positive relationships and craft clear communication

  • Computer skills- Proficient in Word, Power Point, Excel, Access, Project

  • Highly motivated and a self-starter with a strong desire to succeed and pursue continued growth and developmental opportunities

  • Excellent communication skills
