A rare opportunity exists to join us in the role of Specialist, Cost Collection & Analysis at our East Hartford, CT campus.

Responsibilities / Accountabilities:

  • You will help perform Cost Collection activities as a result of the Supplier Accountability Process.

  • You will also investigate the issues, collections or coordination of all costs surrounding the issue, ensuring proper documentation exists to support the costs presented.

  • You will work with Engineering, Quality Groups, Procurement, Legal, Mod Centers, etc. Diligence around the collection of data is essential.

  • Will work with other team members on the audits of Termination claims made to Pratt by vendors. This involves reviewing the cost structure of our vendors and requires knowledge of cost accounting.

  • Handle sensitive/confidential information regarding the Termination Process.

  • Will help with the resolution of intra and interco out-of-balances participating on a team with UTAS to determine root causes of issues and implementation of process improvements to avoid future interco out-of-balance conditions.

  • Must be a US Citizen due to government contracts.

Basic Qualifications:

  • You have a minimum of 5 years of professional work experience.

  • You also have a minimum of 3 years of understanding and utilizing continuous improvement methodologies (ACE principles, lean manufacturing, Six Sigma) is required.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • MBA / MS preferred.

  • You have the ability to juggle and organize priorities.

  • You have familiarity working in a manufacturing environment strongly preferred.

  • BS in Accounting or Finance required.
