Pratt & Whitney Systems Design & Component Integration (SDCI) Organization is responsible for integrating the design of components, modules and systems into best-in-class commercial and military propulsion systems. The SDCI organization is seeking a NGPF (Next Generation Product Family) Air Framer Integration lead located in East Hartford with strong technical, communication and partnership skills. You will be responsible to direct a multi-functional team of practitioners from across the company. Key Responsibilities include:

  • Run and facilitate design integration meetings with the customer and key PW partners

  • Lead physical and functional works with the airframe

  • Ensure technical and contractual requirements are met when negotiating interfacing hardware while designing the best solution for PW and the customer

  • Lead multi-functional teams to resolve Propulsion System technical integration issues

  • Participate in workshops to drive consensus at airframe collaborates with the engine and nacelle

  • Speak on behalf of PW Engineering when interacting with the customer, Program Management, and the Chief Engineer

  • Raise issues as they are discovered to the appropriate level and partners

  • Responsibilities include working with CIPT's, Partners, Suppliers, Customers and Systems groups to integrate technical issues and drive closure

  • Collaborate with internal CIPT's and external Partners, suppliers and Customers to pursue technical issues

Basic Qualifications

  • BS in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering

  • 7+ years’ experience as a design engineer

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in the Teamcenter and GD&T are required.

  • Some structural analysis experience is desirable, but not required.

  • Competent in Teamcenter, SharePoint, and Configuration Management procedures for Production, Prototype, and Development, for both Engine and Propulsion Systems products
