The Global Supply Chain team is responsible for working closely with suppliers across the world to ensure we deliver affordable, high-quality parts that meet our customer's dynamic needs. Our team cultivates an internal environment that drives the utilization of the UTC ACE operating system, while coaching and supporting the supply base to ensure they meet our quality and delivery objectives. We are looking for a dynamic person with strong leadership, project management, and communication skills with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment. The Strategic Sourcing Manager -Airfoils entails managing the sourcing and Longterm Agreement contracting of PWA compressor airfoils including all legacy commercial and military blades / vanes. Additionally, sourcing and LTA contracting for new programs: GTF – all platforms, F135 / F119. Job includes domestic and international travel to suppliers, negotiation of LTAs within the guidelines of established Master Terms agreements.

Job includes:

  • senior level report-outs relative to LTA contract performance to program targets, capacity assessments to assure ramp rates are being met.

  • Cost focus is a key component of new programs – GTF and F135 with numerous report-outs in this regard as well. New contracts as well as contract modifications / addendums are on-going.

  • Creative collaboration with numerous partners is required including Module Center management, Finance, Contracts, Value stream, Programs, Partnerships and others.

  • Achieving organizational alignment on sourcing is a critical facet of the job.

  • Supplier relationship building and a technical grasp of Airfoils and airfoil processing will become a strength in this position over time.

  • Analysis skills and PowerPoint are fundamentals.

Qualification:

Basic Qualifications:

  • 7+ years of operations, supply chain, engineering or related experience.

  • Bachelor's Degree in Supply Chain, Operations, or related field

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Dynamic team leadership or people management

  • SAP

  • Possess excellent judgement and professional maturity

  • MS Office

Education:

  • Bachelor's degree required in business, operations, engineering or related field.

  • Master's degree preferred.
