Pratt & Whitney’s Global Strategic Sourcing group has an open position for a Strategic Sourcing Manager. The person in this role will be responsible for the continued development of the sourcing plan for the commodity in support of new and legacy commercial and military engine programs. Responsibilities will include:

  • Taking the lead role in securing long term agreements (LTAs) with suppliers, building and executing plans to satisfy War On Cost (WOC) goals, working with the Value Stream Managers to maintain existing agreements, and ensuring successful hand off of any flow across sources to the Global Transitions Group.

  • Collecting quote responses, analyzing options, comparing and considering all factors to finalize a sourcing decision, gaining approvals, and loading LTAs into SAP.

The UTC One Company playbook is utilized to optimize the sourcing and negotiation of LTAs. Coordination with PW stakeholders and all relevant internal owners of the LTA approval cycle is also required (Finance, Legal, Contracts etc). You will build and give presentations to the Strategic Sourcing Review Board and at other executive level reviews.

Qualification: Basic Qualifications:

  • 7+ years experience in procurement, purchasing, strategic sourcing and/or commodity management in a manufacturing environment

  • 5+ years experience with issuing and coordinating RFQ/RFP/RFI process and updating LTAs

  • U.S. Citizenship

Preferred Qualifications

  • MBA or Master’s degree in degree in Engineering, Supply Chain, Business or technical field Business Management preferred

  • 8+ years experience developing supplier and negotiating LTAs for highly customized components

  • SAP or ACE

  • MS Office

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills up to Sr. Management level

  • Experience with cross function teams
