Job Description and Responsibilities:

The E. Hartford team is seeking a Structures Supervisor for the 30K Fan Development team. This supervisory position will be responsible for directing a team of 4-10 structures engineers and collaborating with additional partner and outsource engineering. The group will be responsible for Fan structures on the PW1100G-JM/PW1400G-JM and PW1500G/PW1900G engine families.

Your responsibilities include:

  • You will be the primary point of contact for the structures group, and a part of the overall leadership team for the Component Integrated Product Teams (CIPTs).

  • You will provide technical guidance and review work of structures practitioners in the area of rotors, static structures, integration of module structures with the engine system, and some fan blade structures.

  • You will also be responsible for working with IPTs to provide structures engineers to work tasks in these areas.

Qualification:

Basic Qualifications:

  • BS in Mechanical Engineering or Aerospace Engineering.

  • 10 years of experience in gas turbine structures, lifing tools, structures standard work, and PW/UTC commercial engine certification process.

  • U.S. Citizenship Required due to government program requirements.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • MS or above in Aerospace Engineering or Mechanical Engineering.

  • Experience with Japanese culture, particularly in a technical environment is valued.

  • Experience with employee engagement and change management initiatives.

Education:

BS in Mechanical Engineering or Aerospace Engineering.
