The UTC Re-Empower Program is a return to work program that helps support talented and committed professionals as they rebuild their capabilities, improve leadership skills, and continue their professional journey.

The program consists of a 16-week comprehensive cohort assignment, which offers a rich and rewarding experience and mentorship for program participants transitioning back into the workforce after a 2+ year career break, for reasons such as childcare, eldercare, career path change, illness, retirement or other personal matters. You will gain paid, on-the-job experience, have an opportunity to participate in sessions with leadership, develop personalized plans for success and receive mentoring to guide their return to work experience.

Upon completion of the 16-week program, based on performance, Re-Empower participants may have an opportunity to convert to a full-time role.

Cohort III of the UTC Re-Empower Program will run from September 5 – December 21, 2018.

To qualify for the UTC Re-Em power Program, you will meet both program and position requirements.

Program Qualifications:

•Currently be on a break of at least two years or more

•Have a minimum of five years of professional work experience

•Have an interest in returning to work in a full-time position

•Have an ability to attend the Re-Empower Program Orientation at UTC Headquarters in Farmington, CT on September 5-7, 2018

The Global Supply Chain team is responsible for working closely with suppliers across the world to ensure we deliver affordable, high-quality parts that meet our customer's dynamic needs. Our team fosters an internal environment that thrives on utilization of the UTC ACE operating system, while managing supplier relationships to ensure they meet our quality and performance standards. You will have strong leadership and communication skills with the ability to work in a challenging environment.

You should able be able to provide a high level of customer focus while meeting business objectives. The role of Account Specialist is both exciting & challenging. This position requires exceptional problem-solving skills to build efficient working relationships across the many P&W functional groups; Quality, Materials, Continuous Improvement, Production Readiness, Engineering, MCL, ESA, Global Work Share (GWS) and multiple suppliers. Good communication skills, specifically conversational, email, telephone, & occasional presentation, are desired. Delighting customers by providing timely and accurate updates via the most desired communication means. You will be responsible for supplier relationships, including delivery, quality, and cost, inventory, and customer satisfaction.

You will oversee purchase order execution and product delivery, ensuring placement of on-time schedule agreements, billing adjustments, terminations mitigation & cost reduction goals execution. The Account Specialist will follow all aspects of the P&W Procurement Manual, GSC Standard Work, UTC Code of Ethics, International Trade Compliance, & Transition Standard Work (TSW). Additional responsibilities will include close coordination with New Program Integration (NPI) / Development Procurement, Global Transitions, Commodity Management, and Production Readiness to smoothly transition NGPF hardware from development into full production as well as resolution of producibility and quality issues on key military programs. The role also offers the opportunity to engage with the relevant Strategic Sourcing team and participate in long-term sourcing decisions. The role of Account Specialist also requires the long-distance interaction with Regional Office personnel such as Delivery Assurance Specialists, Supplier Quality Assurance Representatives (SQAR’s), MCL, ESA, Continuous Improvement Specialists, & the GWS “Buyers & Planners” providing procurement & materials management for the commodities. As an Account Specialist, you’ll be responsible to ensure GWS’s quotation, cost analysis/price justification, market share appropriations, & placement of schedule agreements are completed on-time & in compliance with all appropriate regulations & procedures. Foster active daily use of the ACE operating system through ACE tool usage to improve EH&S, quality, delivery, financial, employee engagement, and customer satisfaction. Actively drive Supplier Gold by participating in supplier improvement activities, & Critical Supplier Reviews (CSR’s). U.S. Citizenship Required
