Do you have what it takes to be part of our team? We have a rare opportunity for a talented Supply Chain Manager for our Airfoils and IBR team in East Hartford, Ct. The Military Fan Blades supports the Fan Module Center and delivers highly technical products to the Engine Center and Spares Organizations. The Supply Chain Manager will be responsible for driving overall quality, cost and delivery assurance processes to ensure product delivery and customer satisfaction. You will have the responsibility for the management of a Supply Chain Team/Account Specialists and work directly with suppliers to drive their manufacturing, quality and delivery efforts. You will work with the Value Stream Manager and her/his team to pro-actively identify areas for improvement within the supply chain and assist in the development of plans, which allow us to meet organizational objectives. Specific Responsibilities Include:

  • Own delivery of NGPF fan blades

  • Drive value stream improvements and business results through usage of supplier management processes (6-pack, DQA clinics) and the ACE tools

  • Implement Long Term Agreements and collaborate with strategic sourcing

  • Lead team responsible for managing purchase orders and delivery against orders

  • Coach, mentor and lead all aspects of team’s daily activities and serve as first tier point of escalation

  • Actively follow Procurement Manual/Standard Work procedure

  • Coordinate the efforts of a cross functional team, including engineering, strategic sourcing, materials planning, quality and production readiness for successful product strategy and delivery

  • Improve and lead Delivery Assurance, VCAB and Supplier Performance Teams to achieve escape reduction, cost reduction, on time delivery performance and Supplier Gold execution

  • Travel required 25-30%

Qualification:

Basic Qualifications:

  • 10+ years’ experience in operations, supply chain or logistics management or other related field or 7+ years experience with a MBA or MS degree

  • Bachelor’s Degree-Supply Chain, Business, Engineering, Project Management, Technical or related field

  • 2+ years Team lead, people management role or relevant experience.

  • US Citizen

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Demonstrated leadership and communication skills with the ability to work in a global supply chain environment

  • 1+ year direct supervisory experience.

  • Experience or trained in Export Controls and willing to become an SME in this area.

  • Must be able to work well with all levels and functions within the organizations

  • Ability to build Strong customer relationships with a focus on improving business results

  • Strong organizational, communication and interpersonal skills

  • Working knowledge of SAP,

  • Intermediate skills or better in Microsoft Office tools

  • Strong follow-through and project management skills

  • Six Sigma Black Belt Certified or ACE Practitioner

  • Aerospace industry experience

Education:

  • Bachelor Degree - Supply Chain, Business, Engineering, Project Management, Technical or related field

  • MBA/MS preferred
