The Lease Fleet Manager is an essential member of the PWEL organization whose primary responsibility is to manage and lead the entire leasing process from customer request to delivering an engine and through the lease return process.

The Lease Fleet Manager is also responsible for ensuring lease engines are suitable for deployment to Pratt & Whitney customers per the terms of our contracts.

The Lease Fleet Manager interacts directly with every facet of the P&W value stream, including external customers, P&W Sales/Customer Support, Engine Services, line maintenance, Engineering, Operations, Finance, and ITC/Legal to ensure customer expectations are met or exceeded.

Fleet/demand planning is a key deliverable of the Fleet Manager and taking a lead role in the post lease inspection process (in particular managing PWEL suppliers) to drive continuous improvement in maintaining our fleet of lease engines in a ready status is paramount to success.

Qualification: Basic Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree and 7+ years' experience OR Master's degree and 5+ years' experience

3+ years' aviation experience

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 3 years engine maintenance / engineering experience a real plus

  • Previous airline experience highly preferred

  • Maintenance and overhaul knowledge/experience with IAE PW2500 engines is highly preferred

  • FAA Airframe and Powerplant Certificate a plus, but not necessary

  • An understanding of Gas Turbine fundamental operating principles

  • An in-depth knowledge of all engines in the PW portfolio, components and performance characteristics

  • An understanding of Federal Aviation Regulations (FARs)

  • Able to identify problems, their sources, and their potential solutions while continuing to successfully conduct day-to-day operations without

  • Strong communication skills: must be comfortable engaging in a variety of different communicative situations and being attuned to others through strong active listening skills

  • Ability to prioritize tasks when clarity of direction may be lacking

  • When necessary, the ability to understand and communicate within a technical or specialized subject matter, particularly as it pertains to aviation and the aviation industry

  • Capable of performing in a daily fast paced environment while simultaneously meeting assigned project deadlines with a self-directed decision making confidence
