Primary Responsibilities:

  • Perform repairs/rework on UTAS nacelles (thrust reverser, fan cowl, inlet, exhaust, demountable, fan cowl support beam)

  • Primarily 787 but occasionally 737/767

  • Backup to GAIS OEM

  • Other duties as assigned

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities:

  • Strong work ethic and ability to work alone without oversight (self-motivated)

  • Composite repair experience

  • Painting experience

  • Professional appearance

  • Ability to interact / verbally communicate with UTAS project engineering and customer on a day to day basis in a respectful and professional manner.

  • Ability to obtain and maintain certifications as required such as seal, torque, respirator and electrical bonding.

  • Ability to follow work instructions/technical requirements and to question operations that may be inaccurate or in error

Qualification:

Basic Qualifications:

  • 1+ years of experience working as Assembler in the aerospace industry

  • Must be able to work extended hours, off-shift hours, and weekend work as needed

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Basic understanding of a nacelle system

Working Environments:

  • Ability to mix, apply and work around sealants, solvents, and chemicals

  • Ability to wear PPE as provided and required for job task

Education:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
