This position is responsible for the coordination of production plans, master production schedules and assembly schedules for assigned product families to support sales plans and achieve division objectives for inventory levels, productivity, manufacturing cost and customer service.
Plans, schedules, and monitors top level products through the complete production cycle. Management of end item master production schedules; plans for finished goods inventory levels.
Works with engineering on new product planning.
Interface with Order Administration to resolve customer sales order exceptions. Processes short lead time requests from a variety of customers including, Manufacturing, Engineering, and LCVS Managers. Coordination with Procurement Specialists and Buyers on short-lead time customer requests.
Interface with both Manufacturing and Marketing through facilitation of the Sales, Inventory and Operations Planning (SIOP) process (Also referred to as Sales & Operations Planning (SOP)) --Organizes and leads the SIOP review meetings for assigned product families. Participates in the MRAP (Demand Review) meetings.
Work cross functionally to prepare the associated defined inputs of the SIOP process and to execute the associated SIOP output actions.
Communicates effectively with various levels of management and personnel from all impacted functions. Establishes productive working relationships with internal customers and leadership.
Review current known production work orders and planned orders, and provide visibility of impact of forecasted and potential demand. Address capacity and manpower concerns as necessary. Deliver a production plan over defined time horizon as input into the SIOP process.
Coordinate and support roll-up of site SIOP into Business Unit SIOP and subsequent flow down of Business Unit SIOP outputs.
Reviews material requirements planning (MRP) accuracy through exception processing; resolve and manage data integrity issues.
3+ years Production Scheduling and/or Master Scheduling
3+ years supporting, facilitating or leading SIOP and/or S&OP (Sales and Operations Planning)
5+ years manufacturing environment experience
Able to lead a diverse team, setting and meeting goals and objectives
Able to influence people to achieve common objectives
Good, strong project management skills
Comfortable facilitating and presenting to all levels of an organization
Experience in SAP manufacturing Make-to-Order environment a plus
3+ years in a business analyst role – supporting sales and/or operations
APICS certification (CPIM and/or CSCP) or actively pursuing, a plus
- Bachelor's degree required
