Description:

The Associate Director Supply Chain Management Strategy will be responsible for contributing to UTC Corporate Operations objectives with a significant focus on advancing supply chain standard work processes and Programs. The ideal candidate will be responsible for leading UTC’s corporate-wide supply chain standard work while utilizing tools and processes common to the ACE Operating System. The position requires highly analytical, structured thinking and the ability to communicate effectively. The candidate must possess the ability to work on multiple work streams and manage projects while fostering effective cross-functional team relationships in a collaborative work environment.

The selected candidate will manage the ongoing development of the UTC Supply Chain Playbook, driving continuous improvement of its processes and tools while deploying an enhanced user interface that promotes greater utilization. The individual will also lead the continued evolution of Supply Chain University (SCU) ensuring it’s properly aligned with the Playbook and leverages the appropriate training content and media to support the development of desired functional competencies. The candidate will manage the overarching processes for each Program across applicable Business Units (BU’s).

A successful candidate will have demonstrated value chain optimization and operations governance experience. Knowledge of end-to-end supply chain performance and material flow are desired. The candidate will contribute to the development, implementation and adoption/ change management activities associated with supply chain standard work within the Smart Factory environment for all of UTC’s divisions as applicable. The candidate will participate in the development of strategic presentations highlighting internal and external feedback assessments and industry best practices. The candidate will also play a role in project execution, including maintaining effective communications across business units.

Essential DUTIES & RespoNSIBILTIES

The Associate Director Supply Chain Management Strategy will work on Supply Chain projects.

Specific responsibilities will include:

  • Program management of supply chain standard work

  • Provide business case and support for Operations Management supply chain key process advancement and movement toward industry best practices

  • Responsible of the overall governance of the Supply Chain standard work

  • Collaborate with Business Units to adopt standard work processes

  • Assess the adoption and utilization of supply chain standard work across UTC

  • Understand the UTC Change Management process and effectively drive change throughout the organization

  • Facilitate review of Playbook Deployment Control Tower

  • Lead/participate on applicable Supply Chain councils (i.e. Playbook, SCU)

  • Ensure Program and process readiness in support of applicable Integration activities

  • Connection with BU Business Process Management (BPM) organizations / Business Process Management (BPM) Council

Qualification:

  • Minimum of 8 years related experience in progressively responsible roles within a diversified industrial operations business environment

  • Strong supply chain, manufacturing, quality , strategy development experience preferred, with focus on Operations optimization

  • Ability to take ownership of assigned projects, handle ambiguity and independently drive for results

  • Demonstrated experience building relationships and credibility across functions and organizational levels

  • Ability to manage multiple tasks/projects in a fast-paced, dynamic work environment

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills

  • Strong business judgment, critical thinking and analytical skills

  • Strong Project Management skillset

  • Travel 10-20%

Education:

  • BA/BS required

  • MBA preferred
