Description:

Optimize Digital Technology (DT) by standardizing operational processes, exploring new solutions, prioritizing investments, consolidating global DT spend and leveraging partnerships to deliver on global support services in the aerospace businesses. Improve operations, decrease costs, and increase revenue via design, selection, and implementation of technology.

All applicants must be U.S. Citizens or U.S. Persons within the meaning of ITAR (International Traffic in Arms Regulations) and must be legally authorized to work in the US without need of company sponsorship for employment purposes.

Specific responsibilities will include:

  • Work with regional aerospace business units & Digital Technoloyg (DT) team to improve DT services in the region.

  • Carry out & own regional implementation of major global initiatives.

  • Focus on improving End User Experience in region.

  • Participate & be a valuable member of Global DT team.

  • Optimize consumption for $350M spend on IT services. Prepare a road map for 2018 & onwards savings on DT services & deliver savings.

  • Support two major strategic initiatives in SW Development “Digital Workplace Modernization” & “Compute Transformation.”

  • Work with CTO organization & business unit SW Development leaders to deploy new solutions. Support CTO organization on improvement projects from spend and consumption point of view.

  • Identify industry best practices & consumption models in IT Services and work with CTO team to deploy the same with in UTC.

  • Work with business application leader on Application rationalization plan.

  • Keep an updated inventory of all the applications used by Aero Business & the licenses required to support these applications.

  • In conjunction with business applications leader, work on running few pilots on latest technologies ie. block chain etc.

Qualification:

  • In- depth understanding of application development & apps life cycle including agile methodology.

  • Deep understanding of technology & processes in SW development space. Prior experience running operations of large SW Development teams.

  • Must have a global mindset, good analytical skills and be process focused.

  • Demonstrated experience building relationships and credibility across functions and organizational levels.

  • Ability to manage multiple tasks/projects in a fast-paced, dynamic work environment.

  • Strong business judgment, critical thinking and analytical skills.

  • Farmington, CT location preferred

Education:

  • Undergraduate degree in Management Information Services with min 15+ years relevant experience in SW Development and IT infrastructure advanced degree preferred.
