From our foundation of excellent products (escalators, elevators and moving walkways) to our next chapter of digital transformation, this is a great time to join us as a Domestic Tax Compliance Senior Manager, located in Farmington, Connecticut, with responsibility for U.S. Federal income tax compliance for the group and also serving as liaison with the State and International tax compliance groups.
Manages Federal income tax compliance processes, including domestic partnerships
Supports the State income tax compliance process
Support Federal and State estimated tax payment processes
Provides input into plan, forecast, quarterly and year-end closing processes
Supports tax compliance systems’ requirements and planning
Coordinates compliance co-sourcing resources
Supports the tax-modeling process
Supports the federal audit group, as necessary
Develops Sarbanes-Oxley controls’ requirements
Establishes and maintains best practices templates, including for the ACE Quality System
Responsible for providing primary input into staff development
A bachelor’s or advanced degree in accounting, finance or related discipline
An advanced tax degree and/or CPA preferred
Eight to ten years of federal compliance experience in a large, multi-national, corporate tax or accounting firm environment
A good understanding of major steps in the compliance process, from data sourcing through filing and tax account activity
A strong understanding of tax systems capabilities
Ability to identify and implement continuous process improvements
An understanding of the impact of income taxes on the financial statements, and an ability to identify opportunities to combine tax and accounting knowledge to improve business results
Strong interpersonal skills, including the ability and desire to communicate, collaborate and coordinate with others throughout the Tax and Finance organizations at both the Corporate and Business-Unit levels
Self-motivated, with the ability to work independently and under pressure
A sense of urgency
Ability to motivate others to work toward established deadlines
Strong written and verbal communication skills
A good business sense and creative problem-solving skills
A passion for understanding processes and continuous process improvement
A desire to work with others and share responsibilities in a team environment
Experience with CorpTax, Longview and/or HFM software a plus
