Role Overview

This position is for an experienced sales business development professional, overseeing and participating in activities such as bids, trade shows, and customer relationship management.

Responsible for representing the company's interests, and building business relationships to enhance sales business development performance.

Specific responsibilities of this role include:

Acts as a contact with prospects, develops a professional relationship and understands the customer needs to suggest products and/or services to meet the customers needs.

Leads business development activities for prospects within defined customer segment to support the business strategy.

Identifies bid opportunities, prepares bid responses, negotiates with potential customers and builds and maintains customer relationships to win projects.

Contacts new customers to discuss their needs, and to explain how these needs could be met by specific products and services.

Participates as the management team representative on prospective target accounts. Establishes personal long-term customer relationships with prospective accounts to influence opportunities.

Attends and presents at trade shows at times to increase the visibility of the organization.

Customer facing and selling role (quotas) only responsible for acquisition of new accounts.

"Hunts" new deals and customers to generate leads for new customers.

Works with customers to develop product specs for future projects.

Designs and executes marketing and sales strategies, policies, and programs for company products.

Prospects, develops, and expands business, responds to proposal requests from customers and develops proposals for presentation to customers.

Qualification: Minimum Qualifications:

  • Minimum 5 years related work experience, preferably in aerospace MRO industry, of which at least 3 years are in a Sales & Marketing capacity.

  • Proven track record in strategy development, sales execution, and direct account management.

Education: Required:

  • Bachelor's degree

Preferred:

  • Business Administration or Engineering degree
