The UTC Aerospace Systems Houston business designs and manufactures Environmental Control and Life Support Systems for the space industry. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work closely with contracting offices and the program management office to deliver resources and data that support critical operations within the space systems industry.

The Houston site is looking for an experienced Contract Administrator who can support complex, Cost-type Government (NASA) contracts. Must be adept with senior-level internal and customer interaction, change actions, negotiations and proposal preparation. Successful candidate will be able to perform duties including internal cross-functional and senior management interaction as well as external customer communication. Requires competence with oral and written communication, including formal contract correspondence. Must be experienced with complex contracting requirements such as change actions, proposal preparation and negotiations. Experience with interpreting and assessing contract requirements, FAR and NFS provisions, IP data rights and Organizational Conflicts of Interest (OCI) required.

Responsibilities include administration of existing contracts and contract changes, the receipt and distribution of customer requests for pricing, assistance with proposal preparation, review of contract terms and conditions, coordination with appropriate internal functional departments, coordination of customer submittals, negotiation of contracts (including price, schedule, and terms and conditions), order entry into the company ERP System (SAP), and flow down of requirements to internal functional organizations.

Additional duties will include coordination with Technical, Legal and Financial departments to resolve contract-related issues that may arise. May be required to lead other contract-related actions such as new proposals and contract close-outs.

Qualification:

  • 5-10 years of directly-related experience with Prime Contractor-level Government contracting including FAR and NFS provisions as well as Statement of Work development and interpretation.

  • Must have good to excellent abilities with MS Office suite. Must possess excellent oral and written communication skills.

  • SAP experience a plus.

  • NASA contracting experience a plus.

  • CPCM certification a plus.

Candidate must be US Citizen

Education: Bachelor's degree required/5-10 years related experience with Prime Contractor level Government contacting
