In this role, you will use your expertise and experience in Marketing & Communications to lead the strategic planning, development and implementation of go to market and customer facing communications to help achieve business objectives by generating demand for our products and services. You will also oversee and participate in activities such as bids, trade shows, and customer relationship management to enhance business development performance.
The ideal candidate will have:
Proven experience working in multiple facets of marketing, including, but not limited to brand and content marketing, digital marketing, promotions, publicity, marketing communications, advertising, advertising and research, social and digital media
Proven success in influencing with the ability to collaborate and partner across functions and all levels within a matrix organization
A background in tactical military radio communication systems, integrated communication systems requirements, and US DoD CONOPS.
Candidates should have a thorough understanding of the US DoD requirements and be comfortable interacting with DoD subject matter experts. Experience with US Army organizations such as CECOM, PEO C3T , Network Cross-Functional Team (CFT), or Army Futures Command is highly desired.
Develop, execute and manage a strategic marketing communications program aligned to the SBU vision, mission and goals.
The strategic marketing program will support competitive growth goals, competitive brand positioning, clear value propositions with flawless execution delivering measurable results.
Bring creative insights, ideas and strategies to bear while working in-the-trenches to effectively monitor and manage plans, process and people for successful and timely execution. Lead the strategic sourcing and manage content for product marketing collateral, trade shows support, website/blog/social media, and other initiatives.
Keep abreast of industry leading new and best practices in branding, marketing, social marketing/communications, go to market communications.
Lead an external communications program, coordinating with the central Communication media team to mine opportunities for press releases and positive media coverage.
Manage the budget to expected financial targets.
Additionally, the candidate will:
Develop company market requirements for highly technical and complex communications products, systems and solutions. This includes the development of product, systems and solution based strategies, requirements analysis, and "Real, Win, Worth" analysis.
Lead the development and execution of Business Development Plans to include product / system / solution positioning and requirements shaping in the marketplace.
Support business plan development and execution with internal engineering and program management teams.
Provide marketing support to the sales organization in Pursuit Order Capture activities.
Work as part of a combined team as the principal marketing lead along with sales managers, program managers, and engineering leads to uncover, pursue, and capture new business in the integrated communication systems market.
Create customer contact plans and influence relevant customer organizations on highly significant matters relating to policies, programs, capabilities, and long-range goals and objectives relating to integrated communication systems and networked solutions.
Develop and present compelling strategic and business growth opportunities that may include market and competitive analysis via decision point reviews.
Candidates for this role should have a Bachelor's degree in the appropriate discipline and 7 years of relevant experience or and Advanced degree in theappropriate discipline and 5 years of relevant experience. In the absence of a degree, 11 years of relevant experience is required .
Minimum of 7 years’ experience through a combination of military, government and/or defense electronic industry positions.
Professional and well-spoken presentation skills mandatory.
