The Cargo Systems General Manager will have full P&L responsibility and lead a non-union team of roughly 470 design engineering, manufacturing, project management, and product assembly employees located in Jamestown, ND & Bangalore, India. The General Manager will work to develop organizational, operational, and financial strategies to meet current and future business objectives.

Lead the Cargo Systems organization to achieve operational and financial targets
Define and execute a business growth strategy
Represent the organization to internal and external stakeholders
Oversee deployment of the Collins management system within the Cargo business
Develop, analyze and review a variety of indicators to improve safety, quality, delivery, and cost
Evaluate current organizational effectiveness; Partner with HR to define a talent strategy that aligns to current and future business needs
Foster a high-performance culture with emphasis on ethics, collaboration, and customer focus
Collaborate and partner with functional leadership to deliver integrated business solutions
Leverage coaching, advisement, mentorship, and stretch assignments to drive employee engagement, skill development, and performance
Support change and transition management activities to maximize results
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Industrial Management, or Business
10 years of progressive engineering and/or operations leadership experience within a global manufacturing enterprise
Strong supply chain, value stream management, & business development experience
Demonstrated ability to provide multi-site leadership in a complex & fast-paced environment
Demonstrated ability to meet program delivery milestones
Ability to effectively interface with customers & key internal stakeholders
Ability to drive action and accountability in a matrixed environment
Proven ability to promote and implement change
Excellent oral and written communication skills
