Position Overview

The primary responsibility of this position is moving parts from one work center to the next. Some planning and scheduling of materials is required. This position would work closely with Planning and Scheduling personnel.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Move parts from Paint, Process and Receiving to the appropriate assembly areas as needed.

-Move parts from other areas of the factory to the next operation as needed.

  • Monitor shortage reports and expedite urgent parts through the factory.

  • Assist with unloading boxes of product that arrive from the India assembly facility and moving that product to assembly area.

  • Serve as Liaison for local ball transfer unit and roller assembly subcontractor and the company.

-Coordinate release and issue of orders for local assembly subcontractor.

-Assist with Boxing and moving finished product to the shipping area on an as needed basis.

Qualification:

Required:

  • Experience using ERP programs and reading a MRP screens

  • Proficiency with computer software such as Outlook, Word and Excel

  • Ability to lift containers up to 40 lbs and move carts loaded with material.

Preferred:

-SAP experience

  • Lean / Continuous Improvement experience.

Education: - High School degree

  • At least 2 years work experience in a manufacturing environment
