JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

We have an exciting opportunity to join our Ductless and VRF business. This position will be responsible for providing product information, system layout recommendations and quoting to distributors, contractors, and engineers for VRF systems and their associated controls. Individual must possess the capacity to work in a fast-paced environment and demonstrate the ability to leverage leadership, decision-making abilities and technical aptitude to assist in meeting customer needs. Foundational skills for this role include general HVAC design and application principles, project management, public speaking, general engineering aptitude and general business management skills.

Specific responsibilities for this position include:

  • Provide quotes based on mechanical drawings and specifications and work with the sales team to provide competitive solutions and quotes

  • Work closely with product managers, applications specialist and pricing to provide ductless product pricing and application solutions to the sales force, distributors, dealers and/or customers. Answer questions and help increase sales, revenue and margin

  • Strong understanding of competitive brands, how they compare with Carrier’s products, and the market price per region

  • Support the sales team as necessary with, project management, and pricing

  • Develop and maintain ductless forecast and coordinate with operations and field sales

  • Maintain spreadsheets keeping track of training and other sales programs as necessary

  • Establish positive working relationships with the field sales force and be viewed as an expert regarding all product sales and application opportunities

Qualification:

  • Previous technical experience in HVAC industry with products and application

  • Working knowledge of HVAC load calculation and HVAC application guidelines/principals

  • Strong communication (written and verbal) skills, with superior follow-up and follow-through skills

  • Strong sense of urgency, quality, self-initiative, sense of ownership and customer satisfaction orientation

  • Ability to learn quickly; apply and extrapolate to other functional areas and adapt to changing business priorities

  • Team oriented perspective; able to work well & contribute with other points of view

  • Strong analytical with strong attention to detail, while also able to manage multiple priorities

  • Requires strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, & PowerPoint)

Education:

  • BA/BS degree with 2-5+ years of experience

  • MA/MS degree with 0-2+ years of experience
